BrewBQ Bacon Jalapeno Burgers


It is officially spring! It snowed here today so it doesn’t feel like it. But we are getting ready. Spring means more grilling! Face it we grill all year long so when the weather gets nice, we just grill more and get more patio time. One of our favorite things to grill is burgers. It is perfect for us because I can do a turkey burger while David does beef. The other great thing is the wide variety of things that you can put with your burger. Salad, chips, fries or David’s favorite – tots. We made this recipe to mimic steak house like burgers and we had to add our newest flavor of BrewBQ Bacon Jalapeno. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

1/3 cup BrewBQ Bacon Jalapeno Sauce Mix

1/3 cup breadcrumbs

¼ cup almond milk

1 ¼ teaspoons kosher salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 garlic cloves minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

½ tablespoon ketchup

1 ½ pounds ground beef, chicken or turkey

4 hamburger buns

Swiss cheese slices

Directions:

Preheat the grill to high heat. In a large bowl, mix BrewBQ Bacon Jalapeno Sauce Mix, breadcrumbs and milk together with a fork until it becomes a chunky paste. Add salt, pepper, BrewBQ Bacon Jalapeno Sauce Mix, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup and mix well. Add the ground meat to the mixture, break up the meat and gently mix until combined. Don’t overmix. Divide mixture into 4 portions and form loose balls. Flatten the balls into ¾ inch patties. Put a thumbprint in the center of each patty. Spray the grill with non-stick cooking spray. Grill until browned on the first side, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook on the other side until done. Add the cheese after the first 2 minutes on the second side. Toast buns on the grill before serving.
