BrewBQ Beer Can Chicken




Now that the leaves are starting to fall it seems like we are grilling less and less. Not ideal but if we are spending less time there we like to make the most of it. That is why whiskey, BrewBQ and beer can chicken make the perfect whiskey Wednesday treat. There is nothing better on a cool fall day than sipping an amazing bourbon while you slow cook a chicken on the grill.


Here is how we do beer can chicken (sip your whiskey while prepping):

  • Clean your chicken and take out everything from the inside (giblets, etc.)

  • Rise the chicken thoroughly

  • Mix 1/4 cup of Whiskey and 1/2 cup of BrewBQ sauce together and coat the chicken with the sauce

  • Sprinkle the chicken on the outside with a little more BrewBQ

  • Drink half a beer (your choice on the beer – and only drink half)

  • Poke some holes in the top of the beer can

  • Put the following herb and spices in the half empty can: Rosemary, Garlic, Thyme, Sage, Red Pepper Flakes and BrewBQ Sauce Mix

  • Put the chicken on the beer can

  • Seal the top of the chicken at then neck with toothpicks

  • Set the grill low – between 200 and 250 degrees

  • Place the chicken on the center of the grill

  • Cook for at least two hours or until your meat thermometer reaches 165 degrees F

  • Remove the chicken carefully

  • Slice the chicken, cheers and enjoy!
